Wojciech Kilar's score for Polanski's The Ninth Gate (1999). Kilar was a serious Polish concert composer who also wrote for film all his life, and the wordless soprano line here is the device the whole score is built around.

Diana Damrau is one of the leading coloratura sopranos of her generation, which is a considerable amount of voice to put behind a film about a rare-book dealer.
