Emel Mathlouthi, from her 2012 debut. She had been performing in Tunisia before the revolution, banned from state radio, and became closely identified with it afterward when footage of her singing in the street during the protests spread.

The arrangements pull traditional Tunisian modes toward trip-hop and post-rock rather than toward anything folkloric.
