Written by Bertrand Cantat for Noir Désir's 2001 album, with Manu Chao playing on the original. It is one of the most loved French rock songs of its era and carries a complicated legacy, given what happened afterward.

Sophie Hunger is Swiss and sings in four languages; her version strips the arrangement back until it sounds more resigned than defiant.
