A cover of Alphaville's 1984 synth-pop hit, stripped back to voice and very little else. Ane Brun is Norwegian, and her reading slows the song down until the original's neon sheen falls away and what is left sounds like a genuinely sad song about people trying to get clean — which, according to Alphaville, is what it always was.
