Bir qadının həyatından 24 saat
Stefan Zweig
novellaaustrian-literature
An elderly Englishwoman tells a stranger about one day, decades earlier, when she followed a young gambler out of a casino and tried to save him.
Zweig's recurring subject is the single day that reorganises a life, told long afterwards by someone who has had years to decide what it meant. Freud admired his grasp of compulsion, and it shows in the hands at the gambling table — Zweig describes the hands before he describes the man.
